Originally a novel, Kamikaze Girls turned into an instant smash hit as a manga (a Japanese comic) and a film, which, as it happens, we have grown infatuated with! From the hilarious plot to the fabulously outrageous fashion choices of the movie’s two heroines, find out why Fashion Club is krazy about Kamikaze Girls.

I was smitten by Rococo.  A frilly dress and strolls in the country…that’s how I wanted to live! – Momoko

If there’s any trouble, ask for Ichiko of the Ponytails…The toughest girl-biker gang in Shimotsuma! – Ichiko

The movie is mesmerizing from the start, with vivid colors and enough camera effects to rival any Guy Ritchie flick. Add to that a lively storyline and lovable characters and you’ve got a recipe for a wild, entertaining ride!

Momoko and Ichiko are polar opposites

Momoko is a dainty, self-indulgent Lolita-dresser, obsessed with 18th century Versailles and the Rococo era, and Ichiko is a husky-voiced ‘Yanki’ rebel who would just as soon spend all her time working on her bike. The unlikely pair eventually become friends when they realize they have more in common than meets the eye, and, despite her initial resistance to the friendship, self-absorbed Momoko helps Ichiko out when she needs it most.
