Memoirs of a Geisha
One of the year’s most highly anticipated movies, Memoirs of a Geisha is directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago) and stars Ziyi Zhang and the gorgeous Ken Watanabe. Set in Kyoto, Japan, the story follows an impoverished nine year-old Chiyo (played by a stunning Zhang) as she is sold to a geisha house in 1929. She is transformed into Sayuri, a top geisha who is trained in all of the artistic and social skills. The movie is set against the backdrop of World War II, and the beautiful kimonos, hair and makeup are award-worthy.

Make Movie Magic as a Costume Designer
When you watch a film, play, or TV show, do you notice what the characters are wearing? Maybe you always have the best or most creative costume on Halloween? Costume Designers create the designs that actors and actresses wear in film, TV, and theatre. The designs must work with the character and the script, whether it's set in the 1800s or 2050.

This is Parker’s first role since Sex and the City and she shines.

In addition to being absolutely hilarious, there are fantastically choreographed song and dance numbers and Thurman’s wardrobe is vintage cool. Her chic and sexy white dress and retro waved hairdo is sure to set trends off the screen.

King Kong
A Hollywood classic, King Kong’s latest reincarnation for the screen is helmed by Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson. The flick stars Adrian Brody, Naomi Watts, Jack Black, and a grown-up Jamie Bell (remember the dancing Billy Elliott?). A group of explorers and filmmakers travel to the mysterious Skull Island to investigate legends of a giant gorilla named Kong. Not only do they find the 25-foot gorilla, but also his dinosaur enemies are loose on the prehistoric island. Get ready to scream. The guys are dressed in safari-style wear, tailored suits, and old school hats, while Watts looks every bit the part of a 1930s ingénue in bowler hats, chic coats, and silk robes.
