Winning Entry:

I went to Catholic school for
13 years where the uniform
consists of unflattering pleated
skirts and shapeless sweaters,
so “dress-down” days were
pretty important to all of us
students. One particular
dress-down day I decided to
wear my favorite pair of worn
in jeans with a brand new
blouse. I even managed to
straighten my unruly curly hair
into submission. It was when
I got to school that things
began to go wrong. The
synthetic material of the
blouse gave me a rash, I
noticed my jeans had formed
a hole near the inseam and
due to the rain, my hair was
now a frizzball mess. I lost a
bit of my dignity, but managed
to get through the day with
some very unwanted memories.
I now know to plan my outfits
very carefully and to always
check the weather.
