Fashion Club members to show (and tell) us what inspires them the most. The prize
packs included shopping sprees, digital cameras, industry magazine subscriptions, and

Brianne H.'s Winning Essay:
As I travel around the world and see all the natural beauty this world has to offer,
I am inspired to design and create. Watching the powerful wind blow leaves off the
trees is relaxing, as the leaves slowly float away only to be pulled by gravity and
then pushed away by the wind.
Traveling around the world and visiting new places is inspiring. I love experiencing
new cultures and discovering new fashions. This past summer, I was fortunate enough
to visit Russia. I was truly amazed by all the palaces and beautiful gardens. While
strolling through the gardens of Peterhof’s Palace, I couldn’t help but admire the
large trees perfectly aligned, creating pathways through the garden. As I watched
the trees sway in the wind, I became hypnotized as the older leaves flew away to
a new place. As I gazed at the beautiful sight, I began to ponder what great things
I would accomplish and where my life would take me.
Watching the leaves makes me believe that if you truly want something, all you
have to do is push onward and you can achieve your goals and defeat gravity.
