Tell us a bit about yourself: I am president of FIDM Fashion Club at my school, a member of National Honors Society, and a leader of youth ministry at my church. Also, I design bridal gowns, which are featured in an Avant-Garde Fashion show each year.
Admissions Advisor: Dee Solis
What are your proudest accomplishments so far? I am very proud of getting accepted to FIDM as a junior, being featured in the local newspapers each year for my bridal gowns, and being a straight-A student. I wouldn’t be able to do all of this without my supportive parents, teachers, friends, and God.
What made FIDM right for you? I knew FIDM was made for me the moment I had a campus tour with my Admissions Advisor. Within a week of my campus tour, I was accepted to FIDM.
Describe your entrance project. For my entrance project, the shapes and textures of animals inspired me. I created a line of six gowns with a common color of purple. Also, I wrote two essays and included a portfolio of my bridal gowns. FIDM has an outstanding Fashion Design and Business Management program that will teach me new techniques to become a successful bridal gown designer.
What are your career goals? Upon graduating from FIDM, my goal is to launch my own bridal store and line of bridal wear. My aspiration as a bridal gown designer is to be famous not for my glory, but for a bride to feel absolutely beautiful on her special day.
