Smokey Eyes
When it comes to beauty, there’s nothing more glamorous than smokey eyes. This one is updated with a touch of shimmery gold, inspired by the twinkling lights of the city that never sleeps.
Our big city-inspired beauty look starts with smokey eyes. Sweep a pale, shimmery gold eyeshadow onto your eyelid and up to your brow. Now brush a charcoal grey shadow along the lash line, bringing the color up to the crease when you get to the outer eye. Brush the charcoal color along the lower lash line, then add a coat of black mascara. HINT: When creating smokey eyes, start with a little bit of eyeshadow, then add more to “build” the color. Too much powder on your brush will be hard to control.
A shiny nude lip is the perfect complement to those sultry, smokey eyes. First line lips with a colorless lip pencil, then fill them in with a nude lip color. Top that with a high-shine lipgloss in a clear or nude shade.
This smokin’-hot look isn’t complete without exquisitely messy hair. For this 'do we were inspired by Blake Lively’s perfectly tousled waves. To get the look, spritz hair with a volumizing spray, then use a medium-to large-barreled curling iron to curl 1-inch sections of your hair. Use your fingers to rake and separate the curls—you don’t want perfect spirals here, but glamorous, devil-may-care tresses. When your hair is big, bad, and bold enough, add a tiny amount of shine-enhancing cream, then give it a final spritz of styling spray. Now it’s time to hit the town! HINT: To get that sensual texture, skip the shampoo the night before and sleep with a little product in your hair.
