February 1–8, 2008 was arguably the busiest week in the industry, when fashion heavy-hitters like FIDM alum Monique Lhuillier, Zac Posen, Tracy Reese, and Marc Jacobs unveiled their collections for Fall 2008 at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

Here are highlights from The Tents:

For newcomers to The Tents, such as Rubin Singer, Mara Hoffman, and the designers from Project Runway, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York is quite literally the stuff that sartorial dreams are made of! Debuting a collection during Fashion Week has put many of the industry’s best on the map.

It was a veritable who’s-who of New York society and Hollywood A-listers during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and the place to be seen was from the front row of the most popular shows. Among the week’s most buzzed about: Vogue Editor Anna Wintour, celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, songbird Rihanna, and actresses Sophia Bush and Joy Bryant.

If there was ever a reason to party, looking at amazing fashion and rubbing elbows with celebs is one of the best! Besides the runway shows, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is a time for celebration, with designers such as Alice Temperley and Miuccia Prada, as well as Cosmopolitan magazine, playing host to the likes of Keri Russell, Elijah Wood, and Molly Sims.
