FIDM Visual Communications program grad Audrey Watson launched her new clothing company Modern Mischief two months ago with her boyfriend. “We try and stay super friendly and down to earth,” explained Audrey of their business philosophy. Their line of all-original artwork with a “Russian influence” is printed on American Apparel clothing. “Every item is shipped with a free surprise, and our second batch of clothing will be available in May,” she continued.

Arizona’s well-heeled clientele seeking a one-of-a-kind evening gown for their next charity ball or other black-tie affair need look no further than Scottsdale-based designer and FIDM Fashion Design grad Stephanie Edge. While her dresses can cost from $1800-$3,000 or more, depending on complexity, her patrons are assured they’ll be the only one wearing the dress. If that’s not reason enough, it could be the fact that they’re wearing a work of art. “To keep my vision undiluted,” Stephanie explains, “I don’t make dresses to order. Every dress is solely what I’ve envisioned it to be.”
