Every girl’s gotta have one in her closet:
The Little Black Dress
.

Whether you dress it up or down, it’s become
a wardrobe staple, and was first made popular
by the legendary Coco Chanel.

What
Thirty top designers came together in Los Angeles for Little Black Dress, a fashion fundraiser benefiting Stop Cancer, at the swanky W Hotel Westwood.

Who
The poolside soiree featured dresses by FIDM Alumni and Designers like Rami Kashou, Eduardo Lucero and Louis Verdad.
“I design my garments with the intention to create elegant, ultra-
feminine and architectural pattern shapes which are sculpted on
the body and created like art pieces,” explains FIDM Grad Colleen
Quen, who designed a floor length black gown with a dramatic
square neckline.

The Dresses
FIDM Alumni Kevan Hall created a chic,
cocktail dress with a keyhole opening,
while fellow Grad Octavio Carlin, who
designs the label NADAQA, showed
a pleated and ruffled silk dress with a
deep v-neckline. The dresses,ranging
from wearable to avant-garde, raised
important funds for cancer research.
Fashion is always more fun when it’s for
a good cause!
