"Debut 2005," FIDM's annual Fashion Show and Gala Event, featured designs by our graduating students in Fashion Design and Theatre Costume Advanced Study Programs. Here's our report, straight from the runway!

1. Crystal Vision

Jonathan Haggerty wowed the audience with his Swarovski crystal-embellished haute couture gowns.

2. Connecting the Dots
Elias Luna channeled Jean Harlow in his mixed silk and tweed peices, and made a polka-dot print his signature, featuring it in both red and aqua.

3. Glamour Girl
Shannon Marie Figgins sent gorgeous and wearable separates in feminine silks and chiffons down the runway.

4. Napoleon Dynamite

Jeong A. Park's collection
seemed to be inspired by the French Emperor Napoleon, with high collars, a cut-away coat, and decorative military touches.

5. Tough Love
Tae Kyong Lee did an imaginative collection of rough, nubby knits with unfinished, irregular edges.

6. For the Boys
Menswear designer Quyen C. Ha sent her models down the runway in everything from knee pants to coveralls to skirts over trousers, all in manly shades of brown and gray. The pieces were inspired by the Duke of Windsor and the Jazz Age.
