The recent Golden Globes kicked off the awards show season in Beverly Hills. It was all about Old Hollywood glamour and several FIDM alumni were the answer to that omnipresent red carpet question, “Who are you wearing?” Presenter Megan Mullally was chic in a Kevan Hall black and white shirt-dress with a train that pooled nicely on the red carpet.
E! host Star Jones Reynolds said she felt like a “goddess” in Hall’s custom made sea foam gown. The L.A.-based designer also dressed nominee Christine Lahti, Brooke Adams, Janice Dickenson, Kasi Lemmons and Ray star Regina King, who picked a gold silk cap-sleeved gown that recalled the elegance of a ‘50s movie star.

Perennial favorite Monique Lhuillier outfitted actress Diane Lane, while Minnie Driver, whose film Phantom of the Opera was nominated for Best Picture, wore a plunging silver lace dress made by Randolph Duke. This was the second teaming of Driver and Duke, who created her much-photographed Oscar dress a few years back.
Dream of designing red-carpet worthy ensembles for celebs and rock stars? Find out how you can make that dream a reality. Get the scoop on Fashion Designer Monique Lhullier and other FIDM grads at FIDM.edu.
